• 2006 – Sold out Tango Show “The Dance of the Eternal” at the Center for the Performing Arts.  400 audience
• 2007 – Chicago’s Navy Pier Grand Ballroom Sold out  1,200 audience - Dinner Show “The Dance of the Eternal”
• 2008 – “Tangastic” performance at Orchestra hall mesmerized 1,700 audience.
• 2008 – American Tango Institute (ATI) co-promoted with Millenium Park the World Music Festival that brings the largest Tango Event in the history of Chicago, bringing Bajo Fondo to an audience of 9,500.
• March 2009 – Back by popular demand, ATI brings Bajo Fondo back to Chicago for a sold out presentation at the House of Blues.  1,200 audience.

There’s nothing like Argentina Tango On Stage to appreciate the intensity of this exotic dance. This spectacular new tango program will mesmerize both, tango aficionados and those being introduced to the dance for the first time, with two acts showcasing stunning performances and choreographies of the dance that has captivated the world since the beginning of the 20th century.

Our show is different from traditional tango shows. Our script has been designed to offer a breathtaking tango variety show with astonishing choreographies, amazing multimedia projections, striking lighting design and superb musical performance.

The artistic concept, manifested through the dance choreographies and musical arrangements, is to illustrate the different sentiments that the tango evokes in people who watch it, dance it, or listen to its music, as well as the different forms tango has taken.

 

 

EVOCATIVE

The creative objective is to show the influence that tango has had on different societies all over the world since its creation, and to celebrate the Argentinean characters that have affected our world. The implication of the show will be that the tango was created in the Plata River area of Argentina and Uruguay by people from all over the world and later was taken blackout into the world to influence and impact all levels of society internationally.
ENGAGING
The audience will be taken on a journey that traces the birth of the tango through its colorful history and evolution, to its current phase of modernization.

 

SEDUCTIVE

 

Fourteen dancers, six musicians and one singer will showcase the perfect balance between strong, virile men and equally strong, strikingly seductive women. The show will have a live orchestra, composed of two bandoneons, two violins, a bass and a piano and additional musicians depending upon the particular number. In addition to the magnificent classic tango pieces, the orchestra will perform original arrangements created for the show.

 

 

SENSUAL

As each dance unfolds, the forceful character of Argentinean tango will make its impact.  Legs and feet are used to communicate and express the silent expressions that tango produces, all performed by top tango dancers, will leave you breathless.
